This book brings together key styles, views and techniques from established members of the Royal Watercolour Society to provide an inspirational introduction to the medium.

Watercolour Masters Then & Now showcases paintings especially created by RWS members, inspired by or in response to works from the RWS Diploma Collection. The book is divided into five sections: composition, colour, tone, draughtsmanship, and creating a narrative. Each artist focuses on the theme that best explains the appeal of his or her chosen picture.

The Artists of the Alpine Club is an illustrated biographical dictionary written and compiled by Peter Mallalieu, the A.C.’s Keeper of Pictures. The book contains plates of some of the most important paintings in the club’s collection, including seven watercolours by John Ruskin. It also includes works by artist associate members of the Alpine Club including Simon Pierse.
